        After years of listening to my wife complain about the range hood that came with the house, I finally decided to install the Zephyr Typhoon. She is very, very happy with it and from my view ( from kitchen island that I sit at), I can see the smoke being aggressively pulled in by this range. It is a bit tricky to install. It helps to make a template of the mounting side, and to have the right tools! I raised the hood in place with a small car jack , this way I had time to make all the connections without having a second person holding it.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Inexpensive, fairly easy to install. The hood is easy to clean. This hood is superpowerful, very useful for cooking that involves a lot of stirfrying(e.g Chinese)or with strong spices (e.g Indian). It is a little noisy on the high setting but not too bad.
