I like the clean, simplistic design. Oneida service settings are always excellent value. They will last forever if taken care of properly. A dishwasher is not a good choice for cleaning any service pieces--- but i am guilty! If a food product sticks after machine washing, it will easily wipe off. I have had no discoloring etc. of Oneida products and usally give the complete settings to a family member when a new design arrives and I just have to have it!
