These are great quality and great looking just like the highballs.
Our only complaint is that the diameter is a bit large, making them somewhat hard to hold for people with small hands.
Regardless, they are getting lots of use from us and from our older kids. They stand up to rough use quite well and look great.

These glasses look great and hold their color and clarity with diswashing (we use Trader Joe's liquid). The glasses are light, and well shaped. We thought they might be prone to break, being so light, but have now used them for over 9 months with only 3 of 12 being broken in that time (fewer than with some old, heavy, clunky glasses we had -- we do have kids using these). We love the colors for distinguishing whose drink is whose, and the etchings give them additional style. [...]If it is not clear, we LOVE these glasses. Mikasa and Homeclick have a real winner.

We love these wine glasses. They are wide enough to serve red wine, but stylishly narrow enough for white wine.
We also have the "balloon" set of glasses intended for red wines. We don't like those as well because they are so large and the lip is a bit difficult to drink from.
These glasses are great and will become our primary daily wine glasses.
You may not like them for red wine because of the color. We have a different set of Mikasa wine glasses (English Garden) for very formal occasions that are clear. You may want to consider the non-colored version of these glasses (same design, just no pastel colors).
For us, the work great and we actually like the different colors, especially with white wines.
