This set is beautiful and practical. It can be dressed up or down. Because of the neutral color, you can use very colorful tablecloths and napkins to celebrate seasons and holidays. So far I really love it!

Actually bought it to add to total to avoid shipping costs. Have the matching place settings. Love the light weight, durability of the set. But the mug lacks in design.

Was looking for a multi-functional bowl that didn't take up too much space in the cupboard or dishwasher. This is it. Even my daughter and husband have said how much they like them -- compact, light weight, but hold a good amount. We use them for cereal, icecream, etc.

It's great for either casual or formal dinnerware. If you don't have room for Christmas dinnerware, with red or green chargers it is perfect for Christmas dining.

I wanted these dishes for "Special Dinners" like Thanksgiving and Christmas but since putting them in my cabinet I find myself useing them for eveyday as well. I just love them. I have never had any "nice" dinnerware before so this is a real treat for me!!!
My order came a WEEK sooner than had been promised! I was worried that some of them would be broken and I would have a real hassel getting them replaced, especially because they arrived the Friday before Christmas. I only had 3 days to inspect for and report any problems. Nothing was broken...every plate and cup was intact! Very nicely packed! Thank You!!!

Italian Countryside is an eggshell color. The design makes it both elegant and casual. You may use it anytime you entertain or just every day.

Bought this to replace one I dropped. That one was made in Italy... this one in China. Color not quite the same, the design is not as crisply deliniated. It's even lighter in weight. I'm disppointed that Mikasa changed where they have this product made. My dishes were made in Malaysia, and this Chinese product is not as good as even that. My original bowl, made in Italy, was wonderful.

Mikasa has quality dinnerware with affordable prices. I really like the Countryside collection because it is stylish but microwavable and dish washer safe.

I like the Mikasa Italian countryside dinnerware because even though I bought it to use everyday the design and quality allows me to use it more formally.

The dinner plates are too large to fit in the upper cabinets. Bowls, salad plates and dinner plates only fit in the lower rack of the dishwasher, yet bowls hold less than previous dishes. Disappointed with the size of the dishes.

I am pleased with the overall quality and design of these dishes, but the "cereal" bowls are huge. I am going to end up getting the "fruit" bowls to use for everyday cereal bowls.

I love these dishes! My husband even likes them and he is really picky. This set is more functional because it has the mugs instead of the tea cups (who needs those with their little saucers?) and the bowls are very large, for cereal, ice cream, or one dish meals. I had four sets of other dishes including 2 for everyday and 2 china patterns. I got rid of it all and now just have the Italian Countryside. It is casual for everyday or jazz it up for a dinner party with some bright napkins and it looks elegant. Perfect!

It is a great size. Very pretty but sturdy-I already banged it on my counter top-no damage.
