Needed something stylish for everyday use

The four pieces are a dinner plate, a salad plate, a (cereal) bowl, and a (coffee) cup. First of all, we love the set. It is beautiful. The pieces are heavy. They have, thus far, taken some hits and have not cracked. The serving size for the cup and bowl are quite large. A "manly" portion if you will. A larger size than I should eat. But I can still do a decent serving of cereal and pour the milk on it without worrying about cereal coming out over the top. The dinner plate is TOO large for our Maytag dishwasher (which is a decent size dishwasher). When placed in the bottom rack, the shower arm on the underside of the top rack hits the plates. So hand-washing the dinner plates is required. Again, these plates are huge. So, for portion control and being able to wash in the dishwasher, we use the salad plates (which are larger than most salad plates) as our day-to-day dinner plates.

But we love them so far and they are very simple but pretty.
