Comments about Comfort Line Products A Complete Spa In A Box - SPA-N-A-BOX:

1. The plastic cover disintegrated badly and had to be replaced after one year.
2. Can't seem to get rid of the plasticky/rubbery smell - two years now!
3. Inflatable cover leaks slowly. Luckily I own an air compressor so I can re-inflate it fairly easily.
4. pumps, heater, etc., are sealed units and thus unrepairable; have to be replaced if they fail......
5....but replacements are not available, so if (as has happened to us), say, the main circulating pump fails, then the whole power & control unit has to be replaced; expensive!.
6. Luckily, again, I'm a trained engineering technologist and an amateur machinist with a well equipped machine shop right next to the hot tub, so if I can obtain a suitable pump from somewhere I can probably cobble together some kind of replacement. However, technical specifications (e.g. horsepower, gallons per minute, etc.) don't seem to be available so I'll have to rely on inspired guesswork.
7. I can't imagine how anyone without my level of training, ingenuity and ownership of tools and equipment could possibly cope!
