Phantom Total Pressure Pool Cleaner - White
The world`s only total pool cleaner has finally surfaced! Introducing the Hayward Phantom™, designed to totally clean the pool bottom, walls, steps, and automatically rises to skim debris from the pool`s surface.
In auto mode, Phantom cleans the bottom and sides for approximately 13 minutes, then the Phantom automatically rises to skim the pool`s surface and steps for approximately 7 minutes -- then dives down repeating the cycle until your pool is amazingly clean.
Additionally, the Phantom is equipped with a 41% wider vacuum nozzle for faster cleaning, a large 6-quart debris bag that you empty less often, a sweep hose that doesn`t spray out of the pool and with programmable AquaDrive™ water jet propulsion, it covers the pool better, spends less time backing-up and eliminates wear on the pool surface.

One model has an inline filter in the body inside the hose inlet. If filter is not cleaned especially after a green pool the manifold may break from pressure or the internal jets will clog. Hard to clean.

We purchased this through a pool company and they have been super to replace the motor - 4 times! The main issue is that when fine particles like dust, get jammed in the rotors, the vac will no longer turn around and spends all 6 hours in the corner. When we finally were able to get a motor that will not jam, the front nozzle squirts so far out of the pool, our windows are constantly covered with salt water! When we make all the adjustments so that it does not squirt the windows, it barely moves or works. What a nightmare! The pool rep has literally been to our house 20 times trying to figure it out, it's such a pain to keep calling him, I will probalby shell out another $400 on my own to buy the Navigator.

We loved the idea of the cleaner doing bottom and top - and the cleaner is great. The hose however is the worst design ever - ours is less than a year old and we have already replaced the hose parts 4 or 5 times....and Hayward hasn't been any help at all. Absolutely wouldn't buy this - would buy Polaris.

This is a high priced piece of junk. I have had it in the shop twice and still have the same problems.
the unit is not durable and gets stuck in every corner. The place where I bought it will not even recommend it or sell it any more.
