Comments about Napoleon Grills Mirage Freestanding Gas Grill 59,000 BTUs - M485RSIB:

Very easy to put together, if you're handy shouldn't take more than an hour or 2. Solid construction, even heat, fires right up and gets to temp quickly. [...] Haven't owned other Napoleons but have owned Webers and I'd take this over them any day. Great grill and infared searing zone is a big plus.

Service & Delivery comments:

HomeClick had the best price anywhere. Delivered right to my door little ahead of the expected ship date which was nice bonus.

Comments about Napoleon Grills Mirage Freestanding Gas Grill 59,000 BTUs - M485RSIB:

During the summer, I use the grill 3 or 4 times per week. This was a significant upgrade for me. This grill gets very hot, and it does so quickly. The temperature is very stable. The infrared side burner is a nice feature, since you can use it for searing or with pots & pans.

Build quality is pretty good. Since you assemble the grill yourself, I have a fairly intimate knowledge of all the parts. Not all the instructions were clear, but I eventually managed to figure everything out. The assembly itself took a long time. (Just peeling off all the blue plastic that protects the stainless steel surfaces seemed to take forever.) The only problem with the final assembly was that one of the cabinet doors came out skewed and doesn't close flush. I am pretty sure this was due to a manufacturing defect, not something I caused.

Once up and running, things have been good. I'm still learning the heat settings. Even on low, this grill gets very hot. Things cook quickly, and an overdone chicken breast or burned sausage has resulted more than once. (All due to errors on my part, not the grill.)

So far, the grill lights up easily. The rotisserie worked great. The searing burner is good and fun to use. (One caveat on the searing burner: it is only big enough to handle one large steak or two small ones at a time. Not a pro or con, just a fact.) It doesn't seem to use an inordinate amount of propane, especially for the heat it puts out. Cleanup is easy, with stainless steel grates and finish. The amount of grill space is plenty for most occasions. The overall value is good.
