Comments about Broil King Monarch 20 Gas Grill 40,000 BTU - 934654-934657:

I was originally going to get a Element by Fuego a very high tech grill for about the same cost as this one. [...]I had eyed this grill on the showroom floor when I was shopping around and ended up with it. I am a charcoal guy but forced into gas because of the restrictions of my apartment complex, otherwise I would have bought a Big Green Egg. I paid[$] for this grill which to me was very well worth it especially considering the quality for the money you get. For the money you get: cast iron grates, stainless steel burners that are actually a figure 8 style so there is no "cold spots" 40,000 BTU's 2 burners (no side burner but you can get one on the step up from this one) When I first got this grill I wasn't sure what to expect as it is a entry level quality gill, I have been used to using cheap $99 [...] special grills that didn't last much more then 2 or 3 seasons of everyday grilling during the summer. I first cooked brats and hamburgers on it and all I can say is "wow...." The food is noticeably juicier and more flavor then what I imagined possible for a gas grill. It has what Broil King calls the Flavorwave, that is a metal plate that sits above the burners it allows juices that fall to be evaporated and go right back into the food you are cooking, as well as reduce flareups. I have also had chicken it cooks exceptionally well for that as well. However when you decide to cook burgers, those with a higher fat content though will have more flavor also cause flareups and more smoke then even a normal grill can be annoying when trying to cook as I have experienced getting blasted with billowing clouds of smoke. Bottom line, I could not be happier considering I am a charcoal guy and yet very pleased with this propane grill it's awesome. I would say you truly get what you pay for

I was originally going to get a Element by Fuego a very high tech grill for about the same cost as this one. However my reason for not getting it is the shop I had bought from was going to charge me for shipping and handling cause they did not have one in and was going to put me way out of my budget. I had eyed this grill on the showroom floor when I was shopping around and ended up with it.I am a charcoal guy but forced into gas because of the restrictions of my apartment complex, otherwise I would have bought a Big Green Egg. I paid [$] for this grill which to me was very well worth it especially considering the quality for the money you get. Here's my verdict, this grill is very good value for the money if the value you look for is high quality. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles but it doesn't need it because it makes up for that in the quality and 5 year and lifetime warranty to prove it. It is more then the garbage you can end up buying at [...] but on the other hand it does cost less then other grills with similar features. I would dare say this is the best grill I have ever owned, it can be really smokey at times but I can deal with that cause it only depends on what is being cooked. I highly recommend this grill to anyone looking for a decent grill at a moderate price.

quality construction if not the most fashionable. If you are interested in how good you grill, not how good you look grilling, this should be on your list.

the cast iron grill, heavy guage burner and overall construction are much better than similarly priced grills you can get from the big boxes.

First time I fired it up, I actually had to let it cool down, it was so much better than my previous beater.

On the downside, I thought the plastic side shelves could use some user design work.

Good core grill, cheap peripherals

Comments about Broil King Monarch 20 Gas Grill 40,000 BTU - 934654-934657:

[...]Easy to assemble. Gets quite hot, but certainly has its hot and cold spots. Relatively compact size good for the condo deck/patio. Now gets used 2-3 times per week. Deliberately did not choose any extra side/rear burners--there's plenty of space for family of 2 (soon to be 3). Enjoyed grilling chicken breasts, fish, pizza, hot dogs, vegetables. Still working to get a perfect burger, but it's more of a chef skill :) The grill itself is a good starter grill, but the peripherals are not too sturdy. I am not sure I like the plastic sides (both for material and for the fact that they are easy to unsettle), nor am I too impressed the wheels. So let's see how this lasts.

Comments about Broil King Monarch 20 Gas Grill 40,000 BTU - 934654-934657:

The main reason why I bought this was for the removable side shelves. I have a small patio and this fits perfectly after I removed the right shelf. To my surprise, the first steaks I cooked had amazing steak-house grill marks and tasted the best I have ever cooked. This grill is a big improvement over the cheap Char Broil grill that I previously had.

Service & Delivery comments:

Prompt delivery in perfect condition.

Comments about Broil King Monarch 20 Gas Grill 40,000 BTU - 934654-934657:

Broil King grills are the best grills on the market. I have owned this same model grill before, and was only interested in this particular brand.

What makes it such a good grill is that the temperature is consistent and easy to regulate. Because of its design, this grill does not flare up or require constant attendance. GREAT GRILL!
