There is a great local restaurant that makes "brick oven" pizza's. We wanted to try this ourself with our own ingredients. This pizza stone works great, heats evenly, makes creating pizza's a breeze on the Big Green Egg.
It is a flat piece of ceramic - so don't drop it or knock it too hard against anything it will break.

Makes turning the BGE into a pizza oven a snap. Also good for Naan or other baked breads.

It's thick, so it retains the heat well---this is important for making good pizza. And of course, it's the right diameter for use in the large Big Green Egg, while still allowing adequate heat flow around it to avoid melting the gasket. And the stone is made of the same ceramic material as the Egg itself, so it can withstand high temperatures.
