It's hard to find a simple dome fixture that uses T6 circular fluorescents. This one does, and for [$] is a great deal. This fixture has a major design flaw, though. There is no reflector inside the fixture. Instead, there's just the dull satin finish. Because the diffuser is so heavily frosted, most of the light bounces back from the diffuser back into the fixture where it eventually gets absorbed. This wastes light, and ends up making the 58W fixture only as bright as a 25W fixture.Luckily, this is easily fixed with some sticky glue and aluminum foil. Laminate the back surface of the fixture with the shiny foil. It doubles the light output, and makes the light more diffuse, which is good. Also I am disappointed that the fixture ships with a 2850K lamp. They're too orange, especially for a bright fixture. A cooler white would be better.
