My builder put this up and I went to take a look at it. It looks beautiful. I was a little unhappy when it arrived and there looked like what was a rust spot on it. I called and sent pictures per the manufacturer's request [...]. The replacement shade came with another mark that looked much the same but was lighter and something that looks like a pen mark (maybe a dark thread - I have to look at it some more). I didn't want to try again because I think there is something up with the production machinery that's causing the marks. Anyhow, it's just gorgeous and the eletrician faced the mark to the side not showing when you walk in the room. It probably won't even be noticed unless I point it out. All in all, a pretty modern classic piece. Not sure about lighting because I didn't have any bulbs in it yet. I like the diffuser that covers the bulbs - expected plastic but it seems to be glass.

I did not hang the unit myself, but my husband did it so quickly that I have to assume it was fairly straightforward. The light is elegant and striking—absolutely stunning over our dining table. If you have a contemporary design, this light is for you. We did install a dimmer switch with it, and when on low the light is breathtaking. On high it provides excellent light for dining, and in fact, lights that entire side of our rather large kitchen.
This is the second light I purchased for the dining area. The first was beautiful, but was a bit too formal and fussy as it had many strands of hanging crystals, so I returned it and searched more until I found this one. This light is more suitable and provides an understated bit of bling with the brushed stainless steel piece that peeks out from below the shade. I also like that there's a piece of matte glass on the bottom of the light, so when sitting at the dining table, you're not looking up into bare bulbs. It's really beautiful. Very happy consumer here.
