    The product description for the Blanco sink I bought does not note it includes a waste strainer. I bought the strainer just in case. While the new strainer looks great and does its job well, weigh the necessity to purchase this item carefully.

    I was very glad that I 'added' on the strainer when I purchased my sink. My previous strainer was awful and I never really liked it. I love the new one!

    I wanted the same quality drain as I got with my sink so I bought the same brand. While I love the sink, the drain is a little too plastic for my taste. It looks great from the top, I just hope it holds up over time...

    The online photo did not show that most of the unshown portion of the strainer is plastic. I like to use all brass, copper or metal parts in my plumbing installation for long term reliability and durability.
