This is a hole, the cut-out for the opposite side of the sink. By selecting this option, you'll have two holes. One for the faucet and the other for a soap dispenser or something.

Service & Delivery comments:

Several other online dealers did not offer this option, so its nice to see it here. Bottom line on this, if you are handy, save the money and knock out the hole yourself.
