Powerful motor. Good construction. Has done a great job grinding pork and cooked chicken so far; haven't tried anything else yet. Wash immediately after use and cleanup is very easy. The blades are carbon steel and do need to be washed and dried thoroughly then coated with cooking oil and wrapped in wax paper after each use to prevent rusting. Absolutely no problem if this is done. Seems to be a great product for the price.

We grind raw ckicken, bones and all, to make dog food for our 3 Newfoundlands. We had been using a hand grinder...not an easy task. We are now able to gring in a much shorter period of time. The grinder is able to handle the bones with little trouble.
We would recommend this product for those of you out there using it for feeding a raw diet for dogs.

We bought this meat grinder/sausage stuffer to make better use of the yearly deer my husband gets. It saves us money on food, as well as being a good sport he enjoys and looks forward to each year. We spent many hours with a hand grinder grinding ground meat for burger to use in traditional beef dishes. After purchasing the Waring Pro MG800 we have mastered sausages made at home, from bratwurst to venison summer sausage. Even breakfast sausage! It is wonderful and so fast! We used to invite friends over to help us grind the meat just to freeze, now we are done in less than a day for grinding and mixing the sausage to cure and simply invite the friends to enjoy our wonderful recipes!I also did alot of research on this product and this site had the best price[...]. It did take about 3 weeks to get it, but it was well worth the wait! We are very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this grinder so I know what is in the ground meat my family is eating. I buy sirloin roasts, remove the visible fat, cut into fairly large cubes and grind. I am completely satisified with this grinder.
