We bought this because our old machine left too many kernels unpopped. But the directions on this machine say that if you use gourmet popcorn, or stale popcorn, you'll get unpopped kernels. So it's not much better than the old one.

Be sure to use a deep bowl & line it with paper
towel and the popcorn will stay put. I have used
air poppers for years and not one will pop all
of the kernels. This one is the best one yet.
