It is so flexible I use it for many things; cooking, frying, getting the last drop out of a jar.
It won't scratch non-metal surfaces.
I don't wreck it if I forget and leave it in a hot pan.
It's excellent for getting the muffins out of the muffin tins right out of the oven.
Because of it's thin leading edge it works great for frying eggs.
