Comments about Bulova Bardwell Mantel Clock:

We like it very much. It replaces an antique mantel clock that we can no longer get repaired.

This lovely chiming clock has a feature to turn down the volume of the chimes between 11PM and 5:45 AM. It is NOT an optional feature, like the 3 different chimes are. We WANT to hear it at night. My husband had the bright idea of pushing the time ahead 12 hours so it lowers the volume between 11 AM and 5:45 PM, times when we are either nearby or not at home altogether.

The other item of note is that the directions are very detailed about setting it, but they don't note that the clock requires 4 batteries: 1 for the clock, one for the chime (?), and 2 to make it all go (?)--all in separate places and hard to notice at first.
