2008 Times Square Ball Ornament with LED Lights - 1st Edition

Let There Be Light, the first edition series in the World of Celebrations Collection presents the 100th Anniversary of Times Square Edition.

The Ball Ornament features a LED light fixed within the cap which operates on a sensor and is suspended from an embossed ribbon reading Waterford Times Square 100th Anniversary 2008. Elegantly packaged in a gray hatbox.

Ornament 4.5" H. Battery pack included with 3 AA batteries.

I thought this Waterford piece was beautiful. The LED lights caught my eye and it's lights look brilliant on the tree.

The ornament is beautiful but I don't think it's going to be hung on the tree -- it would break the branch with its weight!

I purchased this item for my curio collection. Although it is quite gorgeous, it does not work that well in a curio because of the wires and the attached green box with the on and off switch. I am sure it will display nicely on the tree but too fragile for my houseful of kids and animals. I am still glad to have it as part of my collection.

Our son married 18 years ago and we gave the newlyweds a Waterford Crystal Ornament that first Christmas. This has become a tradition and they now have 21 Crystal Waterford Ornaments (18 years plus 3 grandchildren) My best guess is their Christmas tree is worth about [$] and they are the envy of the neighborhood.
