Classic half round hearth rug.

100% nylon, inlay construction, center color surrounded by 3" contrasting border
Among the synthetic fiber rugs Goods of the Woods make, the highest level of protection would be the 100% nylon collections; Forest, Frizzy Fun, Safari, and Classic. Nylon has the highest melt point of the synthetic fibers used in carpets. An ember may produce a small melt spot on the nylon rug. These rugs do not offer the protection of their fiberglass hearth rugs and would fall below the 100% wool rugs.
All of their hearth rugs meet the CPSC standard FF 1-70 for flammability of carpets. This test is often called the “pill test” and certifies that the carpet will not continue to support combustion once the ignition source has cooled or been removed. The ember that pops out may char a spot on the hearth rug but the rug will not burn. It will protect the underlying surface.
