Comments about Napoleon 20" Arlington Vent Free Cast Iron Gas Stove - GVFS20:
We chose this model for its compact size (it needed to fit in our hearth opening) and attractive looks. It was fairly easy to install (though the instructions could have been clearer) and is fairly easy to use (lighting the pilot and flame take some getting used to). The flame is very realistic for a gas stove, as are the "logs" -- nicer than most we have seen. It throws a lot of heat, even at the lowest setting, which is all we ever have it on in our large living room that is open to the adjacent hall, stairway, and dining room. For our needs, being able to adjust the flame lower would have been better. But, we've received many compliments on its looks and everyone appreciates the warmth!

This small gas stove was easy to set up and provides lots of heat. The flames look nice and the logs get a nice glow after the flames are on for a few minutes. Unfortunately, the pilot light makes a lot of noise - it sounds like the gas torch one uses to solder copper pipes with. Since the pilot light is on all the time, it constantly sounds like a jet airplane is off in the distance somewhere. I have the unit in a sunroom so we can close the doors to hide the noise. I'm glad I'm not using this stove in a living room or bedroom because the noise would be a distraction.
