    i bought it to heat 1500 sq. ft. and it is excellent. the fan is a little loude but it is bearable. it is not the prettiest stove but who cares, my heating cost have gone down. mission accomplished.

    The heater works well and to date has not even had a hiccup. Automatically lights in about 5 minutes, I put a handful of pellets in the pot to speed it up, but it will light just on the switch. You can get remote tstat to control it but so far manually setting the level is not too bad. Listening to the fan is the only complaint I would have, when on a high setting it is as loud as a floor fan. It can throw a good amount of heat which is what I was looking for. I think it would heat a 2000 sf home on its own. I would guess on a high setting the stove would burn up to 80lbs of pellets in 24 hours, the standard hopper holds 120lbs. I have not decided if I will get the hopper extension which was another reason I selected this stove. The opening to the hopper is big so putting pellets in is easy without spilling. The small amount of ash is impressive but I have found clumps of ash collect in the fire pot occasionally, which if you stir them up burn up better and go away for a while. Not a big deal though, compared to a straight wood stove the amount of work/tending required is minimal. I would expect the pellet and pellet stove industry to take off even more than it has. Much easier and less time consuming than firewood.

    I use this stove to take the sting out of my oil bill. Oil heater only runs 3 or 4 times a day and the temp drops very slowly. Big E on setting #2 of 5, 2400sq/ft home
