The BF-30 offers the visual warmth of an alluring blue flame with a hydraulic thermostat that modulates from 8,500 BTU to 30,000 BTU for continuous temperature control.

BF–30 Blue Flame model contains modulating hydraulic thermostat which, upon reaching your preset comfort level, cycles the main burner flame from HI to LO and, when the thermostat is satisfied, to OFF while leaving the PILOT on; this reduces the large flame to a smaller flame while still emitting heat.
Empire Vent-Free Heaters are virtually 100% fuel efficient.
No heat is lost since the BF-30 does not require outside venting.
Empire Vent-Free units do not require electricity to operate.
Total comfort for half the cost of electric heat.
Safe operation with auto shut-off safety controls.

We love this heater!

Pros:

Attractive Design, Puts out lots of heat, Quick installation, Space efficient

Cons:

Didn't include base, Didn't include hook ups, Glass makes hard to light, So don't use glass

We used this to heat a small,frigid mountain cabin and it worked beautifully. We had to buy the fittings from someone other than Homeckick, it was a bit of a hassle. Also the base had to be purchased separately, we thought it was included which was a bummer. If you use the glass panel, it must be moved each time you light the unit, so we just didn't use it, because we turned it off and on alot (no children or animals here). Aside from these cons, this did exactly what we needed it to do. It is a nice looking unit, kept me warm, and it pleasant to watch. Thumbs up.
