I had previously spent money to purchase the gel fire using cans and did not like the odor they produced while burning so then invested in the cartridge log. Which is a very nice imitation log but I was again disappointed with the odor the gel cartridge also produces. We even crack the window some. I have tried the scented and unscented and to be honest until the fire is extinguished we can not smell a difference.[...]

I bought this product as a gift for my mother who is on oxygen 24/7 and misses her wood stove fires. She was delighted with the realistic flames and the 'crackling' of the fire. We observed all safety measures and made sure the fire was vented. I would highly recommend this product for aesthetic value, but not for heating. I don't believe it's advertised for it's heating value however. It does not give off much heat, but might serve in a smaller room.

I have a coal burning fireplace (which is smaller than a standard wood burning fireplace) with a chimney that hasn't been kept up.
This fireplace is in my foyer and with your log set in place and "on fire" - it is so welcoming.
Your product has given my 115 year old home it's "look" back and I LOVE IT!
