The 1101 Insert's unique design allows for flush mount or hearth mount installation in either masonry or factory built fireplaces.

Cast Iron Surround shown in image is not required.

Standard flashing is included and is designed to cover openings smaller than 32"H x 44 1/2"W

Featuring an elegantly designed, full view single door, standard "WHISPER QUIET" heat circulating blower & thermostatic sensor, this innovative design transforms small amounts of wood into large amounts of cozy heat. Doors and flashing included Cast Iron Surround is optional and not included.

Works fine. Fire box is a little small, but not too much of a problem. Puts out a lot of heat, and holds fire well.

Service & Delivery comments:

Unit should be shipped with bricks sepaerate so weight isn't so much off truck. Make certain trucker sends with lift gate truck. Unit weighs 345 lbs. total.

This insert was easy to install and works great. We use it every day to save electric on our heat pump. It easily warms my 15' x 30' living room. The blower does not start up until you have enough heat to distribute.

This is a fantastic product. It is a small insert but when up to temperature it cranks out the heat. It does exactly what I expected it to do. It could use an ash pan but other than that I am throughly satisfied with this product. I live in a rancher and have no problem heating the house with this.

Great little wood burning insert for the money or otherwise. Firebox is small so you need to consider that when preparing your firewood. Along that same line of thought, it's not a real powerhouse in terms of making heat but it's sufficient if you're not trying to heat the entire house. It could benefit from an ash pan. That would make starting fires(especially with less than seasoned wood) and restarting them a lot easier by shaking ashes from coals. Once you get it going though, it burns quite well. Glass stays clean when up to temp too. Bottom line is that you could spend twice the price just to get a comparable insert.
