Comments about Napoleon High Country Zero Clearance EPA Wood Burning Fireplace - NZ6000:

Bought this due to efficiency claims, but found it is EPA Exempt, supposedly due to >35:1 air to fuel ratio. Napoleon won't give efficiency % numbers no matter how many times I ask. University professor and heat professionals all tell me this is a VERY INEFFICIENT unit, due to high air volume. Can't afford to use this, when other fireplaces could easily possibly use 1/2 the wood for same or more heat. I'd ask around independent professionals/professors (not Napoleon company) before buying this IF you want to heat with it.
