This stove is so close to being great, but it has a major flaw that just makes it disappointing. The door latch system just is stupid. There is no other way to describe it. I have other wood stoves and they have a much simpler and more reliable design. This stove requires that you close both doors at the same time while at the sime time moving the handle up and then down to get it to latch and pull tight. After the first fire, the metal expanded or something, and now I can't get the door closed. In the process of trying to force it closed, the handle bent in my hand like it was made of wax. Really pathetic. This stove had so much else going for it, beautiful, huge glass area for fire viewing, integrated blower, but unfortunately, this handle / latch / closure design is unworkable. I am now going to deal with trying to get parts / replacement under "presidents lifetime warranty". I will post again and let everyone know how that goes.

I love the look This fire place will heat my hole house 3000 sq ft..have not had a fire yet it is summer time now..The unit is very very heavy..I ordered from the USA and picked it up saved $3000 to $4000..from ordering from there . I live in Canada where the fire place is made about 3 hrs away and still can't buy it for this price
