Comments about Monessen 36" Universal Vent Free Circulating Firebox with Louvers - GCUF36C:

Make sure you buy the blower for this fireplace. It does add some cost and will require some electrical installation but it totally changes how much heat the fireplace gives off. The blower is also temperature sensitive and the speed is controlled automatically.

I replace my conventional wood fireplace with this gas unit and now I can heat up my entire family room / kitchen area in just a few minutes!
