Comments about TOTO Round Washlet (E200) - SW843:
- I used to see commercials about washlets on Asian TV networks, I used to think those are for either old people, or really rich people. Until I visited Japan last year, they have it EVERYWHERE, hotels, homes, even some public restrooms have it. I tried it at my hotel room, it was weird for the first 5 seconds, then I fall in love with it. You have to try it yourself to know what I am talking about. Anyways, after I come back to US, I researched on wiki, then I realized average Japan households owns more washlets than PC. So I decided to get it. - In Japan shopping websites, same brand(TOTO) and similar function washlet cost only [$], but it's impossible to have them[...]Installation itself is easy, the hard part is to open a power outlet beside your toilet, since US houses was build without having washlets in mind, so bathroom outlets are usually pretty far from the toilet. I managed to draw power off the light switch beside it. Took me about 3 hours to install the whole thing including run wire in the wall and pipe work.- It takes around an hour to warm up the water on the first run, runs smooth just like what I had in Japan. You really feel "cleansed" after use. If you think toilet paper is enough for you, wait till you try this.*** The only down side is that, the toilet I have is round (not enlongated), and after fit the washlet, the seat cover is somewhat too forward, so the front end of the toilet bowl is slightly visible and not covered by the seat, and I have to sit more back to avoid touching the bowl while sat down. I think it due to the toilet shape slightly varies from company to company. Otherwise, I have no complains.
