1. TOTO warrants its vitreous china products to be free from manufacturing defects under normal use and service for a period of five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty is extended only to the ORIGINAL PURCHASE.

2. TOTO’s obligation under this warranty are limited to repair or replacement at TOTO’s option, of products or parts found to be defective, provided that such products were properly installed and used in accordance with instructions. TOTO reserves the right to make such inspections as may be necessary in order to determine the cause of the defect. TOTO will not charge for labor or parts in connection with warranty repairs or replacements. TOTO is not responsible for the cost or removal, return and/or reinstallation of products. This warranty does not apply to the following items.

  • a. Damage or loss sustained in a natural calamity such as fire, earthquake, flood, thunder, electrical storms, etc.
  • b. Damage or loss resulting from any unreasonable use, misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper maintenance of the product.
  • c. Damage or loss resulting from removal, improper repair, or modification of the product.
  • d. Damage or loss resulting from sediments or foreign matter contained in water system.
  • e. Damage or loss resulting from improper installation or from installation of a unit in a harsh and/or hazardous environment.
  • f. Tank flushing mechanisms of plastic or rubber moving parts.
  • g. Toilet seats of plastic, wood or metal.


4. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.

5. To obtain warranty repair service under this warranty, you must take the product or deliver it prepaid to a TOTO service facility together with a letter starting the problem, or contract a TOTO distributor or products service contractor, or write directly to TOTO KIKI U.S.A. INC, 1155 Southern Road, Morrow, GA 30260 (888) 295-8134. If because of the size of the product or nature of the defect, the product cannot not be returned to TOTO, receipt by TOTO of written notice of the defect shall constitute delivery. In such case, TOTO may choose to repair the product at the purchaser’s location or to pay to transport the product to a service facility.

This written warranty is the only warranty made by TOTO. Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty shall be the exclusive remedy available to the purchaser. TOTO shall not be responsible for lost of the product or for other incidental, special or consequential damages or expenses insured by the purchaser, or for labor or other costs due to installation or removal, or costs of repairs by others, or for any other expenses not specifically stated above. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranties, including that of merchantability or fitness for use, are expressly limited to the duration of this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you.

I'm a contractor and I promote the Toto products alot. The Carlyle is one of their high-end toilets. The uni-fit makes this toilet adaptable for many homes. I have never received a negative comment about this toilets and I have installed about 15 models.

This is a great toilet. It flushes well, fills fast, and has a sleek compact look. The skirted one-piece design makes it easy to clean and eliminates the potential area for leaks between toilet and bowl. The unifit adapter makes this toilet one of the few choices for people with 10 and 14 inch rough-ins. Mine was 14 inch and the adapter allowed the toilet to fit flush against the wall - one of the reasons I chose it. The seat is very comfortable and the soft-close feature is very nice. A big negative is the way the seat is mounted to the toilet. Special rubber bolts are used because of the skirted design. The bolt heads do not allow the seat base to contact the toilet. As a result, the seat wobbles and feels flimsy when you open and close it. I am surprised Toto didn't put a little design thought into this, especially in a toilet of this price. A simple rubber gasket cut to fit around the rubber bolt heads would do the trick.

We remodel a lot of bathrooms. This is definitely my favorite install. The product itself is excellent. If you are installing over tile, there is a little more work for the unifit flange over the tile but the unifit is a very nice system. The Carlyle has a lot of nice features that are standard.

This is my second Toto, but my first Carlyle. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. The Carlyle makes my bathroom water closet look like a new room. The skirted design of the lower toilet complements the one-piece design overall to make a toilet that is EASY to keep clean and germ-free on the outside. The g-max flush technology is simply the best and the SanaGloss finish makes the inside a breeze to keep clean-that's why I purchased my 2nd TOTO and will soon purchase a third. Simply put: the Carlyle style plus perfect functionality, plus ease of maintenance, combine to make this an unbeatable toilet choice. Compared to its predecessor, this toilet simply flushes. No clogs, no pauses, no problem.
Did require slightly different connection to drainpipe than the old one. Required an adapter, however once installed works great.

I bought this to lower the cost for using the expensive Boston city water. My only complaint is the price. A flat lid would be more practical.

We are very familiar with TOTO and have used it in the last 2 houses we remodeled. This toilet goes with every decor, is stylish and perfectly-priced. The soft-close seat is great for little ones (no smashed fingers), and this toilet is super quiet. This one won't disappoint!

This toilet installs very easily and "never disappoints" when it comes to flushing, but the fill valve drips and periodically dribbles jets of water that make for an annoying experience. The upside is that when I contacted Toto, they immediately agreed with my diagnosis of the problem and shipped out a new fill valve. The downside, of course, is that I now have to install it. Hopefully it will work better than the first one.

Love the one piece design. Does not take up much room in the bathroom. Flushing is "almost" fun now, we will be adding a new toilet to the 2nd bath soon. Toilet seat is hard to get use to. Has more movement then we are use to.

This is the 2nd home we've installed this toilet in. It looks great (sleek) and with the one-piece design and skirted side it is very easy to keep sparkling clean. From experience at our prior home, it never clogs and the Sanigloss finish really helps to keep the bowl clean between scrubbings. With the soft-close seat, no more slamming when our 4-year old closes it.

Skirted design makes it easy to dust and clean around the toilet. Installation is straightforward. Make sure you have adequate clearance for the water supply (7.5" minimum) - 1/4 turn ball valve works best. Toilet performs great - never requires a double flush, and the soft close seat is great.
