I was afraid my toilet would chip away the way my guests were accidentally letting my previous wooden toilet seat slam both opening and closing the lids. Now, no slamming, it floats to its open or closed positions. Love it.

Used in basement rec room with Aquia III. Compliments the toilet and stops the lid from slamming improving marital relations immeasurably. Just start it to close and it slowly, 3-4 seconds, closes by itself. Silently. Kids can try and slam it down and it will foil them every time. Comfortable.

More expensive toilet seat then I would normally buy, but I really like it. The only problem is I get used to the soft close and when I go to a non-soft-close toilet I slam the seat/lid down.

Maybe we should have gotten the round bowl instead of the elongated. It was uncomfortable at first, but we've become used to it. The seat has a steep inward slope, so it feels like you don't "fit" on it properly. The self-close feature is marvelous.

This softclose seat is just that, it closes slowly and quietly so that it does not make you "jump out of your skin" in the middle of the night. It fits the Toto Drake elongated bowl perfectly!
