Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
It's very heavy and seems very durable. It needs to be secured properly because of its weight, which isn't really a problem. It is very large and might require a little flexibility with the width of the shower wall or wall behind the shower (e.g., we could not fit the valve in the standard 2x4 framed wall and had to make the wall a little wider). But if you are building a multihead shower, it will be well worth the cost and effort.
