This faucet is well constructed and made of high quality materials, compared to another vintage style faucet I bought and returned. With Hansgrohe the faucet was easier to assemble and built to be leak proof. The pull rod that pops the drain does not go through the water's path through the body of the faucet. Like any drain assembly, however, I had to apply silicone sealent and tape to prevent leaking. The handles feel sturdy and are made of only two parts, compared to 4 with the first expensive brand I tried and returned.
