They really need to advise customers that these are not made from real Bamboo which would have been much more durable. I have lost 2 so far. They snap off easily and when they hit the floor will break. You have to be very gentle so as not to have them break off. I really thought I was getting real bamboo. so yes they are pretty but not functionable.

They're not bamboo; they're some flimsy ceramic that snaps with very little stress on it. If they'd made the things with actual bamboo, instead of faking it, they'd have had something strong and water resistant. They design of these is poor. They're made to break easily. And they're expensive to boot. I bought two sets to provide replacements for the ones that broke and will break.

These hooks look great, but they are very fragile. I thought when I ordered them that they were bamboo, which is virtually indestructible, but they are some sort of plastic or ceramic. One of them snapped while I was just putting it on the curtain before I hung it. The clasp is not well designed and not very secure. The manufacturer should make them out of real bamboo, which is cheap, renewable, and very strong. Visually I love them, but they otherwise suck. And they are quite expensive to boot.

Take care in openning the hooks b/c I broke one when hanging the shower curtain. Luckyly someone miss-counted when packageing and I had an extra ring. They look great and add some interest to an otherwise boring item for your bathroom decor!!

I am decorating my guest bathroom in a tropical theme. So, I bought these appealing shower rings to match my decor. I was so excited to have purchased them! Soon after hanging my shower curtain, they started to detach. I didn't even move the curtain! Finally, they started to fall and break in pieces. Now, I have to go out to buy new ones. I am certainly NOT going to purchase these again.

I really wanted to give these bamboo curtain rings a higher rating. [...] I bought them anyway because they were just what I was looking for in terms of style. My first complaint is the way they close. You're supposed to slide a tiny rubber sleeve that fits around the metal pin up into a groove. Well it doesn't work. I'm the only one using my shower and am very careful, yet the curtain rings are CONSTANTLY falling off onto the floor or into the tub. And this leads to my second complaint. The ceramic-type rings are very fragile and brittle. So when they fall onto my stone floor or into the tub, they usually break. I lost about 5 or 6 this way. But because I loved the design so much, months later when I needed more I bought another package of the same thing. [...] Yesterday another one bit the dust. A bamboo ring fell off and broke into. So once again I need to find replacement rings. So overall, I can only give this product an average rating. I really LOVE the design and am stupid enough to buy another package of these bamboo curtain rings despite having already bought 2 packages in less than a year -- simply because I have not been able to find other stylish, bamboo styled curtain rings. I wish the designer would make it more durable and come up with a better way to ensure they close securely.
