    The washer does cyle longer than my old top loader, on some cycles longer than it takes to dry the previous load. It does have a beeper to alert you when the load is finished but it is too quiet even at the highest setting for me to hear it from the basement to any part of the first or second floors of the house.

    We could not be more pleased with this washer. We chose it because of its high ratings from Consumer Reports.Our old washer (top load) was rough on our clothes and the agitator collumn was broken (why we replaced) but after using this washer I now wonder if our clothes from the other washer were ever getting clean. As we open the door from a completed wash, we are blown over by the smell and feel of clean. We've also noticed that the items (especially sheets) are no longer ripping or shreading.We have three children (ages 5y, 3.5y, 18m) and this washer gets out set-in stains that the previous washer could not - even clothes that were washed several times in the old washer and the stains remained, this washer gets the stains out. We run about 8-9 loads a week now (down from 10 - 12), and we only have to do one load of towels versus two due to the washer's large capacity. Also, great cleaning on comforters (lipstick stains - coloring by toddler - came out in one wash).The only issue we noticed is a slight buzzing sound when the machine is powered off (goes away when powered on) and then comes back during the cycle.     The washer was installed 2 days ago. So far we are impressed w/its capacity and quietness. It takes quite a bit longer to wash a regular load than did our last washer. The clothes come out clean. The washer does use significantly less water than our last did.

    I have a teenage son that plays sports and a husband that is a mechanic so the cloths I have to clean are especially dirty. This washer is great. It gets the clothes clean using less water, less detergent and is so quiet that I can't believe it's actually running some times. I wish I had bought it sooner!

    Absolutely love this washer! It has so many different settings that you just can't go wrong. The clothes come out clean and it quiet! This is my first front loader and the only con is that you can't add clothes (if you forgot something) once the cycle has started. GREAT BUY!

    We have never spent this much money on a washing machine in our lives but decided to go for it with this one. It washes beautifully, is quiet, does not move a fraction of an inch even when on it's highest spin cycle. It's almost fun to watch it do it's thing. We think we have a winner here and love the matching dryer just as much as we love the washer.
