this is a great item. I live alone in a NYC walkup. A previous reviewer mentioned the lint, thats true, but i found if i use a wet sponge on the rubber rim before taking out the clothes its easier to control. Another tip is to only set the dry time to 30-60 min. when setting wash cycles. it you let it stop, then open and shake out clothes, the steam escapes and it dries much quicker, then set it to dry only to finish up. This also helps reduce wrinkling and saves energy. I shopped this item many places, and this was the absolute best deal. Like most products, follow and adhere to the directions and you will love it. Great item for singles or a couple.

The machine gets clogged all the time and it is difficult to remove the lint that builds up in the machine. I have been using it for 4 years and a half and had to ask for repair four times. Very annoying.

If you don't have the space for a separate washer and dryer — or if you'd have trouble venting a traditional dryer — this is a really great alternative.

You do have to get used to washing loads a little "differently," in that capacity is significantly smaller than traditional units and you obviously can't wash one load while drying another.

Also, the dryer isn't the fastest around. And if you over-load, your clothes will get wrinkled. I find that it's best to pull your clothes when they're just slightly damp (they'll dry within a minute), shake them out and fold or hang them.

One warning: the unit can get extremely hot to the touch toward the end of the drying cycle. It cools quickly, though.
