Pretty quiet machine, loudest part is when the water runs and the high rpm's which only lasts about a minute. As for the stories about mold, leave the door open so excess water around the gasket can dry

It`s a 7* product but read the manual first and provide all manufacturer reccomendation
from a...z. hard floor and proper connection as a first step.
For extraordinary customers drum clean options for mold smell pervention...!!!
P.S. Please do not forget to remove your stuff from washer after process is done!!!!!!!

I got rid of an 18 yr old Kenmore for this new LG. Kinda like trading a Kia for a Cadillac. This LG is very easy to use---load the clothes and push a button! So far, so good...no complaints!

Some of the reviews complaining of noise and shaking had me concerned. I installed on concrete floor in basement. I've done only a few washes so far and there is no excessive noise, movement or shaking. It does vibrate at high speed which will cause objects to slide off top.Really nice appearance and plenty of options.[...]

I have so far really enjoyed this washer. I leave the door open for a few hours after I finish using it and have had no smell problems. It works very well.
