I use this machine at least once a day and for the last month we've had it, it's been great. Cleans well, spins super dry... our dryer loads go twice as fast now. Capacity is nice, I washed a queen sized quilt with no problem. The noises took some getting used to, since it spins so fast it is a little louder than our last washer and does sound a bit like there's a rocket launching from our laundry room. Also, I do some cloth diapering, so its energy efficient rinse system doesn't really work for pre-rinsing my diapers. So instead I do a short load with no detergent to rinse, then a regular load to clean. The dry time it saves is really my favorite thing about it.

Purchased this machine based on multiple glowing reviews and energy efficiency. It was amazing and wonderful for the first week. 7 days of use.

Then, it broke. Contacted the company and they authorized a warranty repair technician. Customer support at F-P was marvelous. The technician came out that day. He spent 2 hours pouring over the ill-tempered machine and found the malfunction ( loose motor controller wire connection) buried deep within. Technician ran 2 complete test cycles without contents to ensure the fix. Several hours later, I tried to wash a light load of clothing. Screaming warning beeps, spastic light displays, and absolutely no function. Had to unplug it from the wall to cease the noises/lights.

Yet another repair person is due out tomorrow to try to make it operable. If not, I will be returning it and buying a boring, dependable, old fashion Speed Queen. Disappointed.

I love my New Zealand washing machine. It cleans my clothes so much better than any other machine that I have owned and it spins so fast and gets so much of the water out of the clothes that it takes half the time in the dryer. So I am not only saving on the water(because it senses how much water it needs and only fills it to that)but also on my dryer use. So yes I highly recommend this washing machine!
