DRAIN PUMPS IN THESE ARE NO GOOD

I have had also the same issue. Being a single mother of 3 boys I do a lot of laundry. Well I have been with out one for 2 weeks due to the ND error message. I called whirlpool (armana) and they can do nothing for me seems how I bought it 12/30/07 warrenty ex. 12/30/08. They said to have a tech come fix it. Well I can't find the pump anywhere and well being a single mother I don't have alot of money to sink into this. I just finished paying it off on my card. I would highly recommend getting a diffrent brand and not going to the [...] to get it. [...]

needs updated pump

I bought this washer in April 2008 I have had to have a service tech out 2 times. And on saturday they are coming out for the 3rd time. One of the biggest problems is that the pump does not have a screen to keep objects such as coins out of the pump. I do not know anyone who can quarantee they didnt miss something in a pocket. Also the cycle will stop and you will have to restart the machine. I think there should be a recall on the pump on this product or at least devise a screen of some sort to keep objects out of the pump. The service tech told me this is a common problem on this washer I called Amana and they said there has not been any reported problems with this model.
