    Viking DURI Poor Quality & Overpriced

    I specified and ordered this unit for a client. Icemaker should be discontinued from undercounter unit, as it is very poor quality and assembly. Unit is not frost free at all; constantly ices up within a few days of manual defrost - expensive piece of junk. Warranty contractor could not make it function. Downloaded owner's manual (none included) misreprents defrost function; not as advertised - non existent. Manufacturer nor internet seller nor warranty agent could make this unit perform to spec or owner's satisfaction in almost one year's efforts. As an architect I will not specify this unit again, although I have often done so with this manufacturer's products in the past. Seller stated in November 2008 they would replace unit, which they have not done to date. Intolerable quality [...]
