Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
We had the water professionally hooked up, and he could not get the filter to work. We had to buy a new one and that one was difficult to put in (have to take out shelf and light cover and hard to twist in but did work that time. It was also $50 to replace and never got to use the other one.
It is a very large refrig, looks great and lot of features. We love the outside water and ice and so sleek looking.

Pros:
Best Ice Cube Maker, Easy To Clean, Simple Controls
I have been through a lot of refrigerators lately and this one really does the job. This was the first one that the Ice Cubes were the shape of the old Ice cube trays. It makes enough ice and it comes out right every time. The inside tempurature is right on the money. Front doors have thicker metal and the inside of the unit is built very well also. GOOD JOB LG.....
