This is an excellent range. It is extremely well made and substantial, yet compact and not overbearing. It is far better than the others in this price category that I have seen [...]The oven capacities may seem small to U.S. Americans who cook things like frozen pizza and 25 pound turkeys, but it is quite ideal for the average sized family of four. The largest baking dish the large oven will hold is 14 by 14 inches. The small oven holds 8 by 14 inch dishes. We purchased this range because we do not like the cold look of stainless steel (and seriously do not want to deal with the fingerprints), we wanted a 36 inch range with at least 5 burners, our max price was [$], and ABOVE ALL we wanted NO COMPUTERS and NOTHING DIGITAL. This was of utmost importance to us as every range we have owned in the past required hundreds of dollars of repairs because the computers needed to be replaced. This requirement also severely limited our choices. WE wanted to buy a range that we will never need to replace. We are not luddites by any means, but we also feel that computers do not belong in certain things- mostly cooking ranges. If you are looking for something that will last you a lifetime, that is extremely easy to cook on, that is beautiful, that is very very well made, this is it. It does everything anyone would want a range to do, from wok cooking/searing to melting chocolate without needing to stir and worry about burning.CONS: The translation of the manual definitely needs to be improved. It took my husband three trips to the hardware store to get all of the right parts for the Europe-US conversion, as these parts are unfortunately not included with the range (and this seriously needs to be remedied). I also thought the range was coming with a turnspit, but it was not included. I was disappointed about that. Also, if you want the 2.5 inch riser, you need to request in in addition to the range. It does not cost anything extra, but they won't send it to you unless you request it. I find this also to be a bit odd. It rook us a frustrating week to get everything hooked up right, but once it was working, it's been absolutely fabulous.
