First off - let me say I love the hood. It's quiet, more than powerful enough for venture (I'm using a 600CFM internal fan), and it looks great. The combination Halogen and heat lamp bulbs add additional task illumination and help keep dishes warm if you're using the shelf accessory.

The only caveat to installation of this hood is that standard homes may have difficulty accommodating the venting requirements. The 10" exhaust pipe is too tall to mount vertically in a standard 8' ceiling room (unless you plan to tear into the floor joists overhead), and is too deep to mount through your average exterior wall when mounting horizontally. You can do quite a bit to work around this if you're at all handy or working with a professional installer - just be advised that your average homeowner will be biting off more then they can chew as some amount of customization may be required.
