    This 22-in. unit was purchased, after much searching, to replace a 24-in. over-the-oven Litton microwave that had become unreliable, after 23 years. It turns out that most units being manufactured now are 30 inches or more. The old unit and oven under it are built into a brick wall. I took all the facings off, but am unable to remove the old unit.

    So, the new one is sitting on the counter.

    But, it works fine.

    One of the few over range microwaves for compact ranges. Silver finish looks cheap to me, but black finish works well. Does not need exterior vent.

    I own an apartment building with small galley kitchens. I was updating and searched for a microwave that I could install reserving precious counterspace yet fit into a small space above a 24 inch stove. This was the only above the range MW that I could find that wasn't the conventional size meant to fit into kitchens of a much larger scale. I live in one of the apartments and have been using mine for some time now. Having no other choice of models and manufacturers I have to say that this product exceeds my expectations of form and function. Perfect solution for my needs!
