I have had the KitchenAid ice maker now for about two weeks. Overall I am pleased with it's performance. Makes lots of ice. It's clear not cloudy.I have an LG refrigerator which has a small ice output overall so I wanted to have this as a backup.
Installation was basically easy. I used a non burst tubing for the water line connection because they are flexible and pack tight against the unit. It looks really custom sitting under my counter. It is quiet overall without a lot of loud clunks into the ice bucket when ice is made.
The only thing I was surprised about is the size of the ice. It comes out in 1 inch squares. Certainly not a big deal.
