This heater has worked well in an approximately 150 square foot bedroom with a large window that loses lots of heat. The unit does not heat quickly, nor is the intensity that high, so it is best used left on all the time to maintain room temperature. Cheap and so far reliable.

This is the second unit that I have purchased.Works GREAT. I'm keeping my house cool this winter and toasty warm in the kitchen and my study. Really cheap to operate at 6.7 cents per kilowatt hour here in Ohio. If you run this heater at full blast 24/7 it will cost me about $18.00 per month. Full blast is not necessary. I heat my 400sq. ft. kitchen to 65 degrees with the temperature gauge set only at 4. Here's a tip. When you buy this put it in a room that you don't use. Or the garage. Maybe basement. Turn everything on high and push in the comfortemp button. Close the door and walk away for about a week. By then the horrible paint smells will be gone. If you can't do that...no harm as the paint does not smell at any temmperatures under full blast.

This is one of the best small heaters I've had over the past 15 years. I bought 1 unit and ended up ordering a 2nd about 2 weeks later for the bedroom. Perfect for a small room or even living room area, once it gets going. I have a small extension in the back that isn't too well insulated. I just turn this heater on when I get up and after about 2 hours and using the comfort feature it sure does make the room toasty. And that's w/out turning it all the way up. I'll save that for the heart of Winter!

I've had this about 2 weeks and so far so good.
I've set my thermostat as low as 50 degrees and this room is still comfortable.
I like that I can wheel it around. So, if I need to be a little warmer I just wheel it closer rather than turn it up.
The smell is awful in the beginning. A tip. Turn on BOTH switches and run it with the comfortemp mode on. This takes it to maximum heat and helps burn off that nasty smell. I'd plan on a good day or two.
At this level the top of the fins will measure about 160 degrees. During normal operation, without comfortemp, and the thermostat set at 3.5 with power swtiches on low, it will reach about 130 degrees at top of fins. It's low temperature before clicking back on is about 112 degrees. None of these temperatures are hot enough to burn my skin. Maybe a child would wince. But I don't think it would burn.
My figures, at .06 cents per/kwh (yeah..still cheap here)indicate that it costs approx 4.2 cents per hour at low setting and thermostat set at 3.5 About $18.00 per month if I never turn in off. It's been running about 25 mintutes on and 17 mintues off. That is the benefit of the oil. 17 minutes off saves money!
I'm pretty darn sure I'm going to buy another for the kitchen!
For my tastes, I leave this run 24/7. That way I don't have to wait 2 hours for the room to warm up.
Finally. I am a NUT about noise. I hate noise.
And this thing is absolutely silent. Not a groan, creak, crack, or pop. Nothing. Well about 2 clicks an hour when the thermostat kicks on and off! That's it. So far, so good.
Oh yeah..I live in a triple bricked victorian home. So there is NO way to insulate the walls. So you will probably have even better performance if you have any insulation at all in the walls.

I use it to heat a coolish basement room about fifteen feet by twenty feet. I turn it on and after a while the room is warm. This is not an instant heat appliance but the heat from it is quite comfortable. After turning it off, it continues to put out heat until the oil in the radiator cools.
I have found nothing about it that I do not like.

This is a whole room heater that really does work. It has been pre-filled with oil that never needs to be refilled. The design is very attractive and modern and blends well with my living room decor. The only drawback about the heater is that the cord is short which limits where I can place the heater. I purchased the heater because my furnace stopped working. It has since been repaired, but I do not use it because this heater provides sufficient heat in the entire front of my home.
