Comments about Jenn-Air 30 in Designer Line Modular Electric Downdraft Cooktop - JED8130AD:

This was original equipment on a 17 year old house I bought in 2000. Now, 8 years later, I couldn't do without it. Grilling indoors!
Only down side is that it just has 2 burners but it is modular and I don't use the grill every day. I bought a 2nd 2-burner module giving me a typical 4-burner stove. It is easy to unplug the second set and plug in the grill when needed.
Another nice feature are the two Mason jars (one for each side) that screw in underneath to collect grease. They are easily removed and cleaned when needed.
There is also a griddle module available which I don't have but plan to add.
My downdraft vent exits near the front door so guests can smell the cooking as they come up the walk. A nice greeting.
