Induction cooktops are a revolutionary way of cooking that uses the power of electro-magnetic waves to safely heat food quickly and efficiently. Anti-Overflow System : Sensors in the glass can detect large spills or excessive overflow, automatically shut off the cooktop, and sound an alarm to alert you of the situation.

Keep Warm Function : When this function is selected, it enables you to reduce the cooking power to as little as 3% of normal—much greater temperature control than conventional cooktops offer you. This brings the heat to a perfect level to keep meals warm, or simmer soups.
COUNTDOWN Timer : The days of “slaving over a hot stove” are long gone, thanks to this ingenious function that allows you to pre-set a cooking time for each individual heating element. Comments about Bosch 30 in 4 Burner 800 Series Induction Cooktop - NIT8053UC:

We switched out a 20 year old Kenmore 30" for this Bosch because we were upgrading to granite. The old Kenmore still worked great but the controls were not as sleek and easy to clean. We are now considering reinstalling our old Kenmore. The Bosch simmers on 2 and rapidly boils on 7, setting 9 is a ferocious boil. The temperature is erratic, and gets worse when more than one burner is in use. There does not seem to be a gradual heat control, and no "keep warm" delivery at a setting of 1. The controls themselves are not dependable to the touch, sometimes it responds and sometimes it does not. You must be very deliberate with your touch and verify by looking at the control numbers. It is aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean but the performance is extremely poor. As a Builder I would recommend Bosch dishwashers which are very dependable but, I am extremely disappointed in the performance of the Bosch cooktop.
