Comments about Thermador 10'' round wall exhaust outlet - WC10:

The WC10 is nice, in that it offers a fairly simple exterior covering for the venting from a 10" Thermador hood exhaust. The cover itself is pretty unremarkable, just a square, galvanized, wall-mounted hood with an internal damper to help prevent wind entering the house and keep unwanted critters out. The only caveat to installation of the WC10 unit (and a Thermador hood, in general) is that standard homes may have difficulty accommodating the venting requirements. The 10" exhaust pipe is too tall to mount vertically in a standard 8' ceiling room (unless you plan to tear into the floor joists overhead), and is too deep to mount through your average exterior wall when mounting horizontally. You can do quite a bit to work around this if you're at all handy or working with a professional installer - just be advised that your average homeowner will be biting off more then they can chew.
