I have owned the larger 2 pound Zo for several years and wanted the same quality in a smaller version which is easier to store in my new smaller home. Besides that, I like the small loaves which allows me to make a variety of breads more often for freshness. This machine even takes sourdough loaves to completion if you don't want to take the extra time to hand form them, etc.

I ordered the mini-bakery because of Zojirushi's excellent reputation for its full-size bread makers. It's the perfect size for 1-2 person household, and it came with quite a number of recipes to try. I've used it twice since it arrived 2 weeks ago and did an excellent job on both. I used the timer function to have bread ready for breakfast and was surprised that I could not hear it kneading the dough before I got up. Easy to clean and set up, too!
